This Lunar New Year special invites the Chinese ‘three treasures’ of jing (essence), qi (life energy) and shen (divine spirit) into your life and practice. Cultivating these practices in advance of Chinese New Year, which begins on February 12, can be a powerful and healing way to honour yourself, your ancestors and spirit.  When the three treasures are in balance, we are given the gifts of vitality, happiness and wisdom.

The day will begin with a meditative vision for the Lunar New Year followed by yin and mindfulness session focusing on regenerating our jing (energy essence)  stimulating qi (life energy) to flow in the meridians led by Sarah Lo.  After lunch, qigong teacher Mimi Kuo-Deemer will offer a fluid, flowing and nourishing practice that will help awaken, refine and balance our three treasures. Following a late afternoon tea break where you can chat with the teachers or take a rest, we’ll enjoy the dessert of the day, Restorative yoga with Adelene Cheong. This will be a Rest practice to Relax and Restore our physical and subtle body, to consolidate our experiences and anchor our intentions, to practice stillness within Awareness. This is a deeply nourishing day retreat to ready ourselves for the start of the Year of the Ox!

Open to all levels. The timing is set intentionally to invite those in Asia as well as in the Americas and Europe in this celebration of the Lunar New Year. The proceeds from this event will be given to support The Glow Fund, a UK charitable trust that organises surgeries in China for children with serious orthopedic disabilities www.glowfund.org
